St Thomas, US Virgin Islands

Instructors often travel to St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands to teach and conduct the Baton Twirling Clinics produced by the Sebastien Majorettes & Marching Band (SMB). The Sebastien Majorettes are directed by Helen Sebastien Gabriel. Helen's mother was the original founder of the Sebastien Majorettes!

Beautiful flowers decorate the island of St. Thomas and it is home to Magens Bay, ranked one of the top 10 beautiful beaches in the world by National Geographic Magazine. XXXII AAU Junior Olympic Games

The studios provided the entertainment and choreography for the opening ceremonies of the XXXII AAU Junior Olympic Games hosted by the seven cities of the Hampton Roads area and held at Norfolk State University. Southeastern VA Dance & Baton Camp

The studios hosted the Southeastern VA Dance & Baton camp for 15 years. Students of all ages participated in a variety of dance, art, modeling and baton classes both inside and on the grounds. Each year a performance was presented for parents and friends.

Prestige International Festival, Roses, Spain

By official invitation of Sr. Lluis Fernandez, Minister of Cultural Affairs and co-ordinator of the Cultura y Fiestas of Roses, Spain and Sr. Miquel Gotanegra, Minister of Tourism, dancers and staff boarded their flight at JFK Airport in NYC bound for Rome, Italy and then on to Barcelona, Spain.

The group then traveled by motor coach to Roses, Spain, which stands on the site of Rhode, a Greek colony of the 9C, to perform at the Prestige International Dance Festival. The long history of Roses, the cultural traditions of the people, as well as the fine sands of the Mediterranean provided a memorable opportunity for everyone. The dancers presented three 45 minute showcase performances designed to present the Spanish people with a broad selection of jazz, tap, and show dancing featuring the company in a country show, a 50s show and a 60s show.

At one point during their fast-paced country show featuring an intricate kick-line, the crowd of over 3,000 people joined in the spirit of the routine, clapping and enthusiastically cheering the dancers on. The event culminated in an official awards ceremony in which each dancer received an official "Pin of Roses".

The group was presented a "Friends Forever" trophy by Sr. Lluis Fernandez, Minister of Cultural Affairs and co-ordinator of the Cultura y Fiestas of Roses.
